Sample Databases |
 |
As used in most conference sessions, these two sample databases are useful for learning and reproducing the behavior of most demos. Credit is used in many performance-related demos. SalesDB is used in many "online operations" demos. Unzip and restore (possibly, WITH MOVE) to use. |

Sample Corrupt Databases
|
|
This zip file contains the six common corrupt databases that Paul used in the Corruption Survival Techniques and DBCC CHECKDB
conference sessions during 2008, and in all classes with corruption recovery demos. These databases are all from SQL Server 2005. For instructions, see
this blog post for details. Unzip and
restore (possibly, WITH MOVE) to use.
All the databases should restore and show corruptions on SQL Server 2008 too - except DemoFatalCorruption1 and DemoFatalCorruption2. To experiment
with fatal corruptions on SQL Server 2008, use the two databases in the Sample 2008 Fatal Corruption Databases zip below. |

Sample Corrupt Databases (36MB zip/~400MB restored)
